I bought these boots in both black and brown because I needed new boots that were relatively flat and not that expensive. After browsing through DSW and Famous Footwear, I realized that I didn't want or need to spend an arm and a leg for fashionable boots. So to the site I went, and I found these great boots.The heel height is excellent, but I wouldn't recommend them to someone who wants a very noticeable difference in their height. I myself am 5'9 and do not need the extra height, so these work perfect for me.Here's the two things that made me give these boots a 4 instead of a 5 star product: For one, I had thought that the boots would come up a little bit more closer to my knees than they do. As I said above, I am pretty tall, but I was hoping for something a little taller. Not a big deal, but for those who are tall and are wondering how far they come up, now you know.Lastly I found that if the toe skids along concrete, they scuff easily. I'm guessing that since they aren't $300 boots, that they aren't made with the highest quality materials, so therefore they are more prone to wear and tear. But since they were really not that expensive and I bought both the brown and black, I expect they will last me this fall and winter, and hopefully longer!

I have just received these boots in the mail and have yet to really wear them but they seem great! When I tried them on they seem a little narrow on my feet, but I have wider feet and I think once broken in they'll be perfect.They look how they do in the photos, country girl with a contemporary flair.Love anything Madden.

very cute, not the best quality material but I'm not trying to pawn them off as super expensive boots. The wedge is virtually unnoticeable. You'd think, however, that I was walking with stiletto heels by the way these echo down the hall. The wedge must be hollow. The color is really nice and goes with just about everything!
