I love, love, love KEEN Shoes. They last for ever and take the beating that my 5 year old can give a pair of shoes. I had to send these back though because they were WAY too big. His foot slid right out of them. Having a show emergency, I had to take him in the store, and had to get a different brand. He measures at the size I purchased. So either I got a mismarked shoe, or KEEN runs about 1 whole size big.

Keens are the only shoes rugged enough for my son. He has some hiking shoes he wears most of the time, but these are the shoes he wears for special events at school, visiting grandma, etc, where I know he will still be playing even though I'd like him to look nice. He's happy that they aren't boring old black, so we don't ever have to argue over wearing the "nice" shoes. I wish they tied because the Velcro looks a little clunky and babyish, but oh well--they're made for kids and the kid likes them so that's great.

We are frequent Keen wearers in our home, with past purchases including the sandals and hiking shoes for kids. My son LOVED his Keen Dino print Coronado shoes (age 4) so I ordered these next thinking they would look nice for school and dress up. They we quite big for about 6 months, and even after that, my son refused to wear them for a while due to their stiffness. Not at all as flexible as the Canvas coronados. They have held up well and my son has gotten used to them so all in all it worked out ok.
