This is an extremely well-made and beautiful backpack. There is no doubt that it's on the (pretty dang) expensive side, but a huge selling point for me was that it is BPA- and phthalate- free, as well as lead safe. It appears to be so well made that it should be the only backpack my daughter will need for the duration of middle school, at minimum. It's definitely large enough for an older student's needs, which is kind of unclear in the photo and/or description. The included lunch bag is also an excellent, large size. I will update if it doesn't end up standing the test of time like I hope.
