Boots are better than expected ... they lace all the way from bottom to top without any more modern grommet hooks. This matches more closely the late 1800s re-enactor look I was looking for. The five year old who is to wear the boots commented that the boots fit well, however there is some lumpiness above the ankles where there are several layers of leather folds. This should improved with time and wear.

I searched high and low for a apir of boots my 3 year old daughter could wear. I found these and jumped on them. When thay came in the mail, I was not disappointed. Lovely boots that shipped quickly.

I expected this to be a very expensive purchase. Actually, I had a good selection of items in a moderate price range. My granddaughter is thrilled with the boots and I am happy with the price.
