Some Customer Reviews from the site forCoach Women's Berdina Patent Leather Loafer

I have a narrow foot and have been buying the same size (8-1/2AA) and model of this shoe for many years. Until the last two pairs, I thought I would never buy another tennis shoe, because I liked them so much. But something was dramatically different with the last two pairs. They were shorter -- my toe pushed against the toe of the shoe. But worse than that, as soon as I started playing, I began to feel a dramatic ankle pain -- it was so severe I had to stop playing. Through a process of elimination, I decided it was the insole in the more recently manufactured shoes. When I switched out the insoles and put in insoles from my older shoes, I had no ankle pain. I have heard that the longer a shoe company manufactures the same model, the more likely it is to take short cuts. Perhaps that is what happened here. I will never buy this shoe again.

The product description states "full leather upper" -- they aren't!! I was pleased with the fit, they are wider than most. However, I was expecting leather and am returning them.

These are the only tennis shoes I can wear that are wide enough to accomodate a bunion on my foot. Just wish that New Balance would return to making mostly mesh, lighter and cooler tennis shoes.
