I am very happy with this purchase. I purchased the 2-3X in Merlot. I wear a 22/24 and am 5'6'', and the 2-3X fits very well and hits the top of my feet. There is elastic forming the smocked part and gives a decent shape. I am pear shaped the the dress lays nicely. Also, there is plenty of fabric in the bust area. I wear a small C cup, and there is extra fabric, but the lines in the fabric make it gather nicely and the neckline can be adjusted.When I was shopping, I was between this color and the purple. I called their customer service center and told them it was for a casual outdoor wedding, and I did not want anything very bright. They were very friendly and directed me toward the merlot color. It is more muted in real life than in the picture and not nearly as pink, rather it resembles a soft burgundy. I was happy about the color, as I was wary that this dress would be too pink for me. I wear a lot of maxi dresses and was glad to find one with subtle sleeves. I plan to dress up this dress with a belt...but it is definitely a very casual dress.A lot of reviewers commented on the smell of the dress when it arrived. There is definitely a scent, but it smells like patchouli, not the terrible odor I was expecting based on reviews.

I love this dress, it's comfortable and washes nicely. I have been told it's flatering on me. It smelled when I opened the package, so I washed it first and it came out fine.
